But if you have the money, get the XTi instead. The kit lens isn't too bad and will get nice shots from the wide to mid range. But I'd go for the EF-S 17-85mm f4-5.6 IS USM.

Buy new: $432.49 / Used from: $385.00 Great all-around lens. With the crop factor of the XT, it's about 27.2 - 136mm on a 35mm camera. The IS (Image Stabilizer) is a plus for this range. It helps with camera shakes at the longer zooms. The lens is a bit slow at f/4-5.6, but the IS makes up for it and with digital you can always up the IOS to 400 for indoor shots. Note: Cannot be used with a D-SLR with a full frame sensor.

With the cropping factor of the camera it has a range of 112-480mm on a 35mm camera. Now that's a lot of zoom. Make sure you use a hood with this or you you'll get flares from the sun.

The Bottom part has room for all the items above expect the hood for the 10-22mm. That goes in the top compartment. Also, you can get straps and strap a monopod or trpod to the bottom of the bag.
