Unless you want to move up to a full frame sensor, I can't see any reasons why you would not want to go with this camera.

Makes the camera MUCH easier to handle. Shooting vertical is a breeze. Holds either two rechargeables or AA's in a pinch. Makes the XT look more like a pro body and people get out of your way more.

This is my main zoo and nature lens. It is very heavy and people take notice, but it is well worth it.

For super close ups even at a long distance. Works with 1.4 and 2X TCs to create a super telephoto macro lens, try doing that on a full frame body.

Good for lots of things, although not great at anything other than being versatile. You can take fairly close, nearly macro, shots or zoom up on things fairly far away.

The 1.8 maximum aperture does two things really well, lets you take low-light handheld shots and isolates the subject.

If you are going to shoot all day you'll need about 3 or 4 of these to make sure you don't run out. Especially when using flash or auto-focus a lot.

Allows you to focus closer than the minimum on the lens you are using. You loose a little light, but gain a larger frame-filling photo.

Increase the length of most L series lenses with this (check compatibility before buying.) You will lose 1 stop and some sharpness though.

I have been looking for an easier way to protect the front my my lens without having to either take off my lens hood or trying to fumble around with the lens cap with the hood still on. Op/Tech came up with the solution!

I have been using this card for a few months now and have taken several thousand shots with it without any problems. If you have the need and the cash this is a great product.

Basically if you ever have a need to take pictures without holding the camera this is your solution.
