I didn't know a lens could be mind-expanding. I bought it for small product photography but it's just so tempting to go in deep and turn a tiny pebble into a cosmic nebula. This lens is insanely sharp. I will use this lens for my whole life if it lasts.

Buy new: $172.95 / Used from: $159.99 My flash photography improved dramatically when I got a flash that could communicate properly with the lens and camera. Before this all of my flash photos looked like snapshots. I've never gotten a shot that the onboard flash actually improved, but the SB-600 is fine.

Buy new: $14.90 / Used from: $12.99 The remote is fine I guess. I wish the Nikon D80 could be set to listen to it all the time, but it can only be set to listen to the shutter release OR the remote. The IR sensor on the D80 is on the opposite side of the lens from where you'd think, I expected it near the AF Assist light or something. The remote doesn't work reliably if you point it over there from up close.
