You can buy cheaper UV filters, but why would you put cheap glass in front of your camera? Stay with Hoya, Coken, and Tiffen filters, and you can't go wrong.

The Moose filter is made from 81A glass and is really two filters in one, a polarizer and a warmer, correcting the bluish tint caused by the polarizer.
