Great Camera if you want a full frame. Be careful, you can't use the 10-22 with this body. The only downside to this body is that the sync speed is 1/200 and switching between photo and video isn't so smooth. I light everything and would've loved to have that extra 1/50s so I have more lighting control. Test your sync speed, the 5D MkII I was using had some darkening at 1/200, so had to go 1/180.

Don't get generic, the battery indicator doesn't register.

Beautiful Lens! I've had the 70-200 and 24-70 since the film days and both have stood up to the test of quality and time.

Sure the 50 1.2 is GREAT, but for the price, I couldn't justify it. I compare this to the original Canon 50 1.4 and the Sigma by far had better autofocus speeds and sharpness at 1.4. Costs a bit more, but I figure I took the savings from the Sigma 10-20 and put it into this one.

When you want portability, this is your solution. I can't put my Dynalite 2040 heads on here, but it's great to put my 550/580/sb-28's on in the field. Just be careful when you have a 60" umbrella with wind. Hang your camera bag on it if you're in that situation with the superclamp down low.

If you shoot a wedding, then this is a must especially for the portable power and the external battery pack. It's almost like taking my Dynalite mx1000's with me.

Who says you can't use flash in the gym? Just put this up in the bleachers with your flash and pocketwizard, you're good to go. Setup two on each end of the court, different channels and watch the difference on your images.

This is a godsend if you're doing touch ups. Get used to cramped wrists and arms until you're used to it, but fight the power. Saves me tons of time and wouldn't know what to do without it. Who knows these shortcuts? CTRL +, CTRL -, CTRL 0, CTRL [, CTRL ], Well forget about it, you got the wheel and custom buttons for that.

You don't need a cf monopod or a giant 680B. Trust me, I had them all, I still have the 680B from the days when I shot the 400/2.8 and 300/2.8. Now that I don't use those giant guns anymore, I reach for my light (enough) 679B. The price of a cf monopod is ridiculous. But I think a monopod is essential for blur free images no matter what shutter speed you're shooting.

Get rid of the stock strap and get this one. Works great, fits well and it's faster accessing the camera. Check out blackrapid.com for videos on how it works. Another secret here is to have the Canon Grip and get some paracord and tie it to the strap bar on the bottom using a figure 8 knot instead of the screw-in connector. That way you don't have keep taking it off to use a tripod or monopod.
