Buy new: $115.00 This is a good basic tripod. You can go more heavy-duty, but it's not really necessary. The D80 is not too heavy and if you plan on hiking to a desired shoot spot, it's nice for the tripod to not weigh you down too much. The carrying bag is a complete necessity, who hasn't been pinched or poked trying to carry a cumbersome tripod?

There are a LOT of cheap cards out there right now, but spend a little extra and get a high-speed 1G, 2G if you can swing it. Get a high-speed one especially if you are shooting any kind of sporting event.

Buy new: $14.90 An absolute MUST HAVE!!! Protect your lenses!!! Put a UV filter on each one! I can't tell you how many lenses I've seen come in for repair where the filter took the majority of the damage (dropping). Filters are cheap, lenses are not!
