Actually I purchased an imported 'body only'. Why bother with kit lens when I was getting 18-200vr. This little Nikon boasts auto-ISO in "P"-mode, RGB histograms and all the other stuff you start missing when it's gone.

The best walk-around lens there is. It covers any range I realistically might need. Ever. I went Nikon because of it. The VR (vibration reduction) works miracles. At night I always shoot hand-held. It's got complex distortion, so DxO Optics Pro (Standard) software is an essential part of my setup.

This is lazy man's dream: using pre-calculated tables it fixes all distortion in all supported lens and camera bodies. But that's just the start. It saves even the pictures otherwise ruined. It's the best piece of software I ever purchased. Period :)

Great strap! Goes easy on your neck. Memory card pouch is a gimmick, left it at home.

Generic UV-filter to leave lens cap at home. I carry my D40+18-200vr with no bag and no lens cap, so it's always ready for action.
