Instant Fun
I'm not professional but, I do enjoy taking pictures.
I do pull off some pretty nice shots so, I wanted to expand my range.
This lens lets you have instant fun right out of the box.
Just make sure that you purchase the adapter (there's a metal one) so that you can use the lense with the G10.

This Opteka 10x Macro Lens is a waste of money for G11 Canon
I would like to know why Opteka even offer this Macro 10x for use with a G11 Canon.

I had hoped this lens would let me get an even closer shot of insects, flowers, etc but it does no better than the camera's own lens, in fact I think there is even some loss of image quality with its use and that one can get a closer, sharper picture without this lens, at least that is the case for the my Canon G11.

The extension tubes are fine, especially if you want to use 58mm filters with the camera but leave that 10x macro lens at home as it would just be a waste of time to either carry it or use it. Maybe someone out there has some suggestions for its use...........
