Keep your Nikon charged and ready!
Before I got this charger, I had a terribly disappointing experience. I went to a beautiful tropical garden (Fairchild in Miami, FL). Unfortunately, I left the house in a hurry, and didn't check the battery in the camera until I was already in a friend's car and well on the way.
Needless to say, the battery was dead as a doornail. If I'd had the charger, I could easily have carged the battery in the car on the way to the gardens. Then my heave camera and lens would not have felt like an albatross around my neck all day.

Does not work in all brands of cars & trucks
It works pretty good in a Toyota automobile, but not in a Chevrolet truck. That I can tell you. If you plug it into a 115 volt AC socket, it works well, too. From both AC and DC power sources, this charger takes 1.5 hours to charge a fully-drained Nikon EN-EL3E lithium ion battery for the Nikon D200.
