The compact lens construction combines high-refractive, aspherical and extra-dispersion (ED) lens elements to deliver edge-to-edge sharpness and clarity. I've had my SP-59UZ four months. I've taken several hundred photos during this time. The camera takes excellent photos and is very easy to operate. The optical zoom and image stabilizaition are GREAT! I highly recommend this camera.
