Customer Reviews

Good insides, bad mechanism2
The drive itself works well and is decently fast. However the mechanism went bad on me, making it unusable. The mechanism used to work fine at first, but over time the door stopped closing to protect the connector. Now the connector won't stay out, so unless you have a pair of small nosed pliers, you can't even insert it into your computer. Trying to explain this to Sandisk support rep in India was a surreal experience in futility... "I can't insert the drive into the computer because the connector retracts into the contour case." "You need to use the USB connectors on the back of your computer." "I can't insert it into any connectors at all; it's a mechanical problem with the USB drive". "Okay sir, which port are you using on your computer" "All ports have this problem because the drive itself won't go in". "Which port are you using on your computer" "Uh, the back port." "Okay, does the LED flash when you insert it" "I can't insert the drive, so no, the LED does not come on". "What operating system are you using?" "I've got to go... Let me call back another time".
