The remote switch works just like the shutter button, enabling halfway or complete pressing. It also has a shutter-release lock. With most Canon EOS camera's custom function of Mirror Lockup, camera shake can be further reduced. Operational Instruction: Take out the rubber plug to your camera's remote shutter socket. Firmly insert the plug of the remote shutter into the socket and turn your camera on. The remote shutter works in two levels: press the shutter halfway down to achieve focus, you will hear the focus beep and see the focus indicator in your camera's viewfinder; press the shutter complete down to activate shutter release. Press the shutter complete down and slide it forward will lock the shutter. This is particular useful when you need to use long time exposure (bulb). You can control the exposure with a seperate timer (not provided) as long as you want. Additional Function: A synchronization socket was built into the remote shutter. Using an optional synchronization cord (additional purchase), you can connect two Adidt remote cords together, effectively making two cameras take pictures simultaneously.
