Editorial Reviews

From the manufacturer
Lexar Platinum Speed Rated Cards

By definition, high-speed memory cards are designed to perform faster. A speed rating means that each card is tested and guaranteed to be at least as fast as its stated rating. It also means that the camera can write to the card faster, and that fast readers can perform downloads from the camera faster. Lexar Platinum cards are speed rated and come in standardized increments such as 40X, 60X, and 80X. The X represents the transfer rate, and 1X means the card can perform data transfer at 150 KiloBytes (KB) per second. This is important to know because you can match the capabilities of your camera and your needs as a photographer to the speed of card that's appropriate for your level of use.

Customer Reviews

different flashcard4
I did not get the cards I ordered. They were to be platinum but came as standard. This will not be a problem for me since I have used these in the past but what if only platinum would work for me? In the future this could be a problem for another customer.Arrival was timely and cost was still affordable though the cards I received are a lesser quality than the ones that I ordered.

Faster photos4
I've never used an 80x CF card in my Pentax before, so I don't know how it stacks up to other brands, but it wrote so fast my batteries overheated! Glad to have it for my vacation.
