Good Product, But Interior damages easily if not careful
These products can be costly, depending upon where you purchase them. Contrary to what another review states, these are not necessarily dishwasher safe! My 16 year old placed 3 of them in the dishwasher on the top rack ( he has dw duty) and when I took them out, they APPEARED to be ok. Upon placing sauce and beans in one of them , Interior damage appeared when we went to wash the container a second time. Upon washing the additional ones after uses, we noticed more and more how the interior had slightly melted/scratched and dishwasher detergent was outlining the areas with white. I give this product a 3 because, Honestly, they are a wonderful concept and I like them - but for families that cook at home a lot, they need to be redesigned to be heat resistant/ dishwasher safe.

If you buy them and don't want to take any chances of them becoming damaged, follow these 2 main tips that I have learned:

1) LET FOODS/SAUCES COOL DOWN THOROUGHLY BEFORE PLACING THEM IN THE CONTAINERS.
2) FOLLOW WASHING DIRECTIONS. IF YOU TRY TO RE-HEAT ANY FOOD IN THEM, MAKE SURE CONTAINER IS COOL BEFORE WASHING OR ADDING WATER TO SOAK IT AFTER USE.

Made the wife's Christmas
And after 20 years it can be hard to get her real excited about a present to her.

A friend had one of these, I took down the Lock & Lock name brand and did a search. Got them for something under the tree for my wife and she loved them. All that nasty tupperware, rubbermaid, etc. are going out the door except for a few specialty items. Nice, square/rectangular, they nest in each other well WITH the lids on unlike virtually all the other containers and they seal like champs. I used the little ones to put snacks in for my almost 4 year old son and he can pick one out, open it and reseal it tightly on his own and I wouldn't have tried that one with tupperware and it keeps his chips/popcorn/etc. fresh for the next day.

A real nice thing about this one is that you can make a "super bento" out of it by packing all the little ones with your food, then stacking them in the big one and dropping the big one in the cooler. Such a nice idea, I'm going to buy another set.

A great improvement
I have become an enthusiast for lock and locks. So much so that I now look at kitchen cabinets hoping to find something to put in them.
These are expensive items but well worth it.
