Average customer review:Product Description
From Academy Award(R)-nominated director Lina Wertmuller (Best Director -- SEVEN BEAUTIES; SWEPT AWAY) comes this spirited comedy hailed by critics coast-to-coast for its vitality and raunchy good humor. CIAO, PROFESSORE! is the story of an upper-class teacher from conservative Northern Italy who, due to a computer error, finds himself teaching third-grade truants at a ramshackle school in the south. Yet along the way, the earnest "professor" learns some valuable lessons when he begins to see life through the fresh, vibrant eyes of his scrappy young students! Don't miss this rambunctious comedy -- a film absolutely brimming with life!

Customer Reviews
Ciao, Professore belissima!
This is a very sweet movie and you will fall in love with the children! A definite one to see and or buy!
Quite Excellent
Now THIS is how you take an old idea and turn it into a damn special film. Teacher from the north gets sent to a school down south full of juvenile delinquents. He's a damn fine actor, naturally, and the kids are just awesome. I don't even like kids, okay? But these are hilarious. Crude humor and talking with expressive gestures as, I suspect, nobody does as well as the Italians. Some serious problems too, not just plot points and BS. It simply can't be improved, and I'll be watching this one again and again.
Hilarious Comedy, Touching subject
This movie is one of my all time favorite Italian movies. Like many Italian movies that I have seen, it touches on the issue of poverty and family life in a small town all bundled in to a comedy.
