Customer Reviews
Great battery replacement for Canon BP-511
I've waited to write a review to make sure that I knew of which I speak. So, here we go. I have been using 2 of these batteries (not purchased through Amazon) for about 2 years now, right next to my Canon batteries, and have had absolutely no problems. I use a battery grip on my cameras (I have the Canon Digital Rebel and the 5D) so that I can a)use 2 batteries and b)gives the cameras more 'heft' - balance.
I just make sure that both batteries in the camera are the same, 2 eFilms or 2 of the other. I don't know if that makes a difference, but as I said, it's been about 2 years, if not longer, that I've been using and no problems.
I would never have thought about it if hadn't been for owner of a camera shop that I trust completely told me about them. I wanted to purchase 2 extra Canon's and he said, sure I could take your money, but try these - trust me. Well, I don't normally trust people who say that, but over the years, this shop has never steered me (or anyone else that I know of) wrong. So, I tried them. My cameras are older now, well worn in and still no problems.
This particular item here shows: Ships from and sold by Thememstore. I do not know anything about this store, so I cannot vouch for them, but the battery itself should be fine, if company is reputable.
Enjoy and go out and capture those photons! :D
Dead on Arrival
When I received this battery it was completely dead and would not take a charge. The date on the side of the battery seemed to indicate it expired some months ago.
CAMERA BATTERY
THIS IS A FINE BATTERY. THE PRICE IS EXTREMELY LOW COMPARED WITH WHAT CANON WAS ASKING.
