The main refinement to this series is with the center column. Designed as an alternative to the low-angle adapter, the new center column enables the head to be left mounted to the column when switching between low angle and normal shooting. The top section is detached without tools by simply unscrewing the knob at the bottom of the column. Good news for existing 3021BPRO users is that an 055TSB upgrade column is also available (special order). As with the previous series, the 3021BPRO has a removable center column that doubles as a horizontal lateral arm. Not only does this allow the camera to be offset from leg position, but it provides the simplest way possible to shoot from directly overhead. In addition, the new 3021BPRO also comes with leg warmers on two legs which helps keep hands protected in cold weather and protects the body when carrying the tripod on shoulders. SUPER and highly recommended!!!
This thing is truly an excellent tripod! It's not light however so don't expect to take it hiking too far! Sturdy and perfect for those looooong shutters!!

One of the best accessories I own.
This tripod is one of the best accessories I have purchased for my camera. I've used it on the beach, indoors, baseball fields, and for takeing pictures of waterfalls. It seems to be infinitely adjustable for any need I have had. I really love the idea of mounting the arm horizontally for macro work. Great tripod for the money and not too heavy to carry around on a long hike.

Great Tripod... with small problem
I bought this tripod from Adorama (through Amazon) and the box arrived damaged. The tripod seemed to be in good shape except for the center column. The column itself was fine, but the internal screw holding the low angle adaptor was bent and the adaptor wobbles out when it is released. When the low angle adaptor is fully seated in the column, it's firmly in place. I sent it back to get a replacement and the second one has the same "defect." Is this normal for this tripod? Other than this small problem, the tripod works great: has 4 leg angles to achieve low angle shots, center column is removeable and can be re-mounted horizontally, and overall it's very well built.
