A medium telephoto lens with a large aperture brings the subject closer, creates excellent background blur, gives a longer flash range, and affords a faster shutter speed to freeze the action. A standard zoom lens, with its natural angle of view and perspective, captures the subject plainly, with no special effects. However, you can use standard lenses in creative ways by varying the subject distance, aperture, and angle.

Decent lens; slow focusing, however.

Packaging was minimal and definately could/should have been better. B&H much better and basically same pricing.

More Lens Less Money
A prime lens for less than a hundred bucks; great low light shots with sharp detail. Use it on both of my Canon film and digital EOS. Feels and looks cheap but results are outstanding. I give it 5 stars considering the price.

Not bad at all!
This is a great little lens for the price. I love the blurred background effect you can get with this lens. I'm really happy with it and glad I got it. For the price, you'll be happy with it too.
